Virginia Riser, PhD
Dr. Riser has five decades of varied experience in the field of education, holding teaching positions throughout K-12 as well as being a professor at the University level. In addition, she has also served in administration, finishing her public school tenure as a principal.
She holds a B.A. in Secondary Education/English/Social Studies; an M.A. in Informational Science; and a PhD. in Education Leadership/Administration and Curriculum Design.
Knowing the educational systems pre-school - Post-graduate and staying in touch with the 21st Century career market needs of the United States and abroad, she coaches young adults, career professionals, and adults re-entering the work force. She has trained teachers, school administrators and business educators in relationship building, instructional strategies and use of educational assessments.
Her interests are in brain based research, multiple intelligences, individual uniqueness in information processing and understanding the human condition. One size does not fit most! She believes that most people can learn anything they want to learn if they have the correct tools and self-expectations. Each learner needs to understand his or her learning style, have clarified learning strategies that accommodate that style, and know what his or her motivational triggers are.
